IJABE Call for Papers | Green Soil Improvement, Soil Remediation, and Sustainable Farming

2026 IJABE Special Collection on Green Soil Improvement, Soil Remediation, and Sustainable Farming

Guest Editors: Dr. Jin He, Professor of the College of Engineering, China Agricultural University

Dr. Liqing Chen, Professor of the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering and Vice-President of Anhui Agricultural University

Currently, global soil management faces multiple severe challenges. The primary issue is the intensification of land degradation and pollution, with over 40% of global land already degraded, six-tenths of which is concentrated in agricultural areas, posing a serious threat to food security and ecological health. Traditional remediation techniques often struggle to balance food production, carbon emission reduction, and economic benefits, and lack a systematic assessment framework. Sustainable agricultural practices and green soil restoration technologies represent current focal points in global agricultural scientific research, aiming to optimize agricultural production techniques, operational methods, and management models. These approaches seek to ensure food security and increase farmer income while minimizing environmental costs, restoring degraded land, combating climate change, and improving soil health. Therefore, researching sustainable tillage techniques and green soil remediation technologies is of great significance for the protective development of global arable land, promoting green agricultural modernization, and safeguarding food security. To this end, IJABE has organized a Special Collection on Green Soil Improvement, Soil Restoration, and Sustainable Farming, which focuses on theoretical innovations, breakthroughs in key technologies, equipment R&D, and industry development strategies in the fields of green soil improvement, soil restoration, and sustainable farming. We sincerely invite relevant universities, research institutes, leading enterprises, and experts, scholars, and practitioners from related industries to submit their contributions and work together to build a high-quality academic exchange platform. This Special Collection is scheduled for sequential publication after October 2026.
